BONFIRE CONFESSIONS
A Halloween Giveaway
Snuggle into your jacket and pull a blanket around your shoulders as we sit around smelling the smoke and listening to the fire crackle. We're full of s'mores and toasted marshmallows, and our gooey sticks have been added to the blaze.
A great horned owl hoots from a nearby tree branch, providing the perfect intro to our bonfire confessions.
“Let's talk books,” I say. “Specifically, my books.” (Sorry, but the sugar from the s'mores and marshmallows has made me as cheeky as Aunt Bess.)
That owl hoots again, and I look around to make sure it's not swooping down on us before I continue.
“I'm going to ask you some questions. If you'll comment your answers, you'll be entered to win a Halloween prize pack. So, are you in?”

“Okay, that owl is really making me nervous, so I'm going inside now. Douse the fire, would you please? Thanks!”
